Distorted But Precious

The Trinity Series

Distorted but Precious Trinity Series Stone

We live in a wicked world.  And although originally created in the image of God, all of humanity collapsed under the power of sin (Jeremiah 23:11, 14).   The beautiful image was distorted and twisted through wickedness.  But God intervened.  Jesus’ victory through the cross—His sinless death and resurrection, crushed the power of sin.

God saves those battered souls who believe in the victory (Acts 4:2, 33) and He begins a restoration of the distorted image (2 Corinthians 3:18).  God crafts every believer into a precious vessel that reflects His Light. But it’s a lifetime process—we all bear twisted remnants of sin’s distortion.  This stone has high brilliance (high light reflectivity) and a twisted table (the large, flat facet on top of the stone) rotated an eighth of a turn from the stone’s square outline.
